National Book Week 2025

National Book Week 2025

The 91st National Book Week Celebration was a success, made possible through the active participation of students and faculty/staff, the strong support of the administration, and the dedication of the Library Personnel.

The program began joyfully with the presence of our Campus Director, Sir Porferio Bangcaya and our supportive Designated Librarian, Janine Cleo Hilario. Free coffee, biscuits, and pandesal were served to students and faculty/staff, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The Library Unit organized various activities such as a Book Drive, Book Hunting, Film Showing, Palabooknutan, Matching Books, and free coffee and cupcakes. Awards were also given to the Book Awardee and Top Library User. Both college and high school students actively participated in the event.

Among the activities, Book Hunting brought great excitement as 17 books were hidden within the library building, which students could keep once found after informing the Library Personnel. Palabooknutan also thrilled participants as they answered questions to win prizes, making it the crowd favorite. The Film Showing at the AVR provided entertainment and relaxation, while the Matching Books activity added more fun and engagement.

Throughout the day, the enthusiasm of students and faculty/staff was evident. Many enjoyed the free refreshments, including coffee, biscuits and pandesal while others actively joined the games and won prizes.

Overall, the celebration strengthened students’ interest in reading, encouraged exploration of library resources, and reinforced the library’s role as a center for learning and enrichment.
